2,046 new Covid inpatients, 24 more deaths

The country registered 24 more Covid-19 fatalities and two, 046 new situations admitted to private hospitals during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Fri morning.

This compared with the 25 coronavirus-related deaths and 2, 004 new cases accepted to hospitals reported on Thursday morning.

All the 2, 046 new patients were local cases.

On Thursday, 1, 565 Covid-19 individuals were discharged through hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus while 16, 447 others were receiving treatment (up from 15, 990 the previous day).

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been four, 654, 969 Covid-19 cases, including two, 431, 534 this season, with 4, 606, 170 complete recoveries to date.

The accumulated loss of life toll stood on 32, 352 since the beginning of the pandemic, which includes 10, 654 up to now this year.
