2,004 new Covid inpatients, 25 more deaths

The country registered 25 more Covid-19 fatalities plus 2, 004 new cases admitted in order to hospitals during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced upon Thursday morning.

This compared with the 28 coronavirus-related fatalities and two, 240 new cases admitted to hospitals reported on Wednesday morning.

There were 2, 003 local cases then one imported case.

On Wed, 1, 743 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals right after recovering from the coronavirus while 15, 990 others were getting treatment (up from 15, 754 the previous day).

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there has been 4, 652, 923 Covid-19 cases, which includes 2, 429, 488 this year, with four, 604, 605 total recoveries to date.

The accumulated death toll stood at 32, 328 since the beginning of the outbreak, including 10, 630 so far this year.
