SAMUI- Two foreign citizens have been arrested for creating a common problem after riding great bikes around with pretty loud exhaust pipes and giving the middle hand to local residents.

People living along the path leading to Choeng Mon beach on the northeast part of Koh Samui originally filed a complaint with Bophut police place against the two travellers, whose titles were withheld.

The people accused them of disturbing the peace and possibly posing a threat to public health. The complaint said the two men had ridden great bikes with pretty loud exhaust pipes at great speed up and down the road about a few times every day.

However, authorities told them the problem needed to be backed by evidence of obvious crimes. The people finally managed to video-record the travellers in motion and captured one of the users giving the middle hand to them.

After receiving the video clip via the police station’s Facebook page, Bophut police chief Pol Col Denduang Thingsrisook ordered his subordinates to set up a police checkpoint and were able to arrest the two tourists at an intersection near Chaweng Beach on Saturday evening.

Both motorcycles reportedly had unauthorised modifications. The vehicles were  rented from a shop in Phuket. Local residents praised Bophut police for their swift action after  getting the video clip.
