Due to the increasing frequency and sophistication of attacks, which can result in economic loss, reputation damage, and constitutional obligations, SBF CEO Mr. Kok Ping Quickly stated: “Cybersecurity is a big problem for companies.

The results of the training show that more can be done, especially for those working in SMEs, to raise safety awareness among people.

We urge all companies to prioritize safety training, establish digital health, and foster a workplace culture of attention, he said.

The outcomes highlight how crucial it is for organizations, companies, and communities to work together on a whole-of-society answer to security threats through Total Defense.

Nexus, MINDEF, and SBF stated that they will continue to collaborate with local companies and improve their readiness for problems.

These initiatives will include  providing ongoing education and conducting follow-up exercises to strengthen best practices.

SBF stated that it is working with public and private sector partners to develop a comprehensive set of security efforts to assist companies in putting in place sound security practices and measures that are appropriate for their security risk profile.

These include programs to help businesses realize what they need to do in order to lessen the impact of a violation as well as practical suggestions on how to tackle identified security vulnerabilities in accordance with the Cyber Essentials Framework’s requirements.
