169 illegal migrants found crammed inside truck

169 illegal immigrants from Myanmar were detained on Friday night in the Thong Pha Phum city after being discovered crammed into a trailer vehicle. Two Thai pirates were likewise apprehended.

Around 7.40am, local authorities, men, and border patrol officers stopped a 22-wheel video vehicle for observation at a street station in tambon Tha Khanum. According to Thong Pha Phum city key Chakrit Tanphirun, authorities received a tip about suspected illegal immigrants boarding a trailer truck parked in Kanchanaburi and traveling from Sangkhla Buri district to interior cities.

The research revealed that 102 males and 67 ladies packed into the car base and house. All were outlawed refugees from Myanmar.

Two Thai males were detained, including a vehicle named just Khem and a driver named Chinnakon Saensikhammuan. Both are citizens of Kanchanaburi’s Bo Phloi city.

Mr. Chinnakon and Mr. Khem were hired for 6, 000 ringgit per trip to carry illegal immigrants from a border region in Sangkha Buri to Muang area, Mr. Chinnakon told the imprisoning team. He claimed this was his next vacation.

Thong Ha Phum officers received the 169 illegal immigrants and the two Thai suspects for legal actions.

Regulators plan to expand the investigation to find those responsible for the contraband operation, according to Pol Lt Gen Naiwat Phadermchit, the municipal police regional 7 chief.
