1,679 new Covid patients, 23 more deaths

The country registered 23 more Covid-19 fatalities and 1, 679 new cases admitted regarding medical treatment during the earlier 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Tuesday morning.

This in contrast to the 24 coronavirus-related fatalities and 1, 811 new situations admitted to hospital reported on Monday morning.

All 1, 679 new infections were transmitted inside Thailand.

Although the number appears to be the lowest for more than a year, the federal government is now defining new cases as only those that require entrance to a medical service.

As of Monday, a total of 23, 617 individuals were receiving Covid-19 treatment (down from twenty-four, 076 on the earlier day), including 10, 197 in hospitals (down from ten, 255).

Among the remainder, 878 were in field hospitals/hospitel facilities (down from 909) plus 12, 511 within home/community isolation (down from 12, 883).

On Monday, 2, 115 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there were 4, 548, 533 Covid-19 cases, including 2, 325, 098 this year, with four, 494, 034 complete recoveries to date.

The accumulated death toll was at 30, 882 since the beginning of the outbreak, including 9, 184 so far this year.

Global Covid-19 cases rose by 406, 725 within 24 hours to 561. 58 million. The particular worldwide death cost went up simply by 962 to six. 37 million.

The United States had the most cases at 90. 49 mil, up 57, 970, and the most fatalities at 1 . apr million, up 122.
