In connection with the murder of a bridge police last year, the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct cases sentenced 15 officers and seven residents to jail.
The judge’s assessment was read out on Tuesday.
Four police were each sentenced to two years and the 11 people to 16 weeks each, on claims of wrongdoing. Three of the words were suspended. One more person was found hardly innocent of the cost.  ,
Pol Maj Kiattisak Somsuk, formerly the chief inspector of the Samut Sakhon county police force, was the highest rating of the police defendants who were given prison terms.
On September 6, 2023, Praween Chankhlai hosted a meal for all of his guests at his home in Muang region of Nakhon Pathom province.  , Praween is known locally as Kamman Nok, and was an important tambon captain in the state.
A gunman who arrived at the fatal supper party assassinated bridge police Pol Maj Sivakorn Saibua in full view of the other customers. Top police officers who made no attempt to quit or capture the killer were many of the attendees.
The shooter, Thananchai Manmak, fled to Kanchanaburi state, where he was was shot dead by police. He was a close associate of Praween.
The crime arose from an argument over a campaign.
Praween, who has been detained at Bangkok Remand Prison since his retreat, was sentenced to two years behind restaurants. Five additional accused each received a one-year and four-month word, with three of them receiving a suspended sentence. One man received a month, nine times, and 21 days in prison.
The policeman accused ‘ dereliction of duty during the dangerous meals were all found guilty by all seven citizens.
Praween is also accused of being the alleged mastermind behind the death of Pol Maj Sivakorn on a more serious cost. He turned himself in the day following the shooting.  ,
