Zelenskyy says he’s ready to exchange North Korean soldiers for Ukrainians held in Russia

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, stated on Sunday ( 12 January ) that if Kim Jong Un’s government could arrange for his soldiers to be exchanged for Ukrainians imprisoned in Russia, Kyiv is prepared to hand them over to their leader.

There will undoubtedly be more, in addition to the second captured troops from North Korea. On the social media platform X, Zelenskyy stated that it’s only a matter of time before our soldiers are able to seize another.

Zelenskyy said on Saturday that Ukraine&nbsp, had captured&nbsp, two North Vietnamese soldiers in Russia’s Kursk location, the first time Ukraine has announced the record of North Korean military dead since their entry into the war last fall.

According to estimates from the West and the Ukraine, North Korean forces, along with 11 000, have been stationed in the Kursk region to help Moscow’s forces. Russia has not yet confirmed or refuted their appearance.

According to Zelenskyy, Russian and Northern Vietnamese forces had suffered significant losses.

If Ukraine can arrange for our soldiers to be exchanged for them while they are being held hostage in Russia, they will be given to him, according to Zelenskyy.

He added that there might be other options open to those North Vietnamese soldiers who do not want to return, and that” those who express a desire to bring harmony closer by sharing the truth about this conflict will have that opportunity.”
