Two weeks after an attack in Indian Kashmir that the south Asian nation linked to its neighbor, India hit nine “terrorist camps” in Pakistan on Wednesday ( May 7 ) that it claimed served as indoctrination centers, training facilities, and launchpads.
Pakistan has stated that six locations were hit during the attacks and none of the targets were violent camps as fears grow that a military fight between the nuclear-armed rivals may worsen.
Here is a look at the sites that India has “destroyed.”
MARKAZ TAIBA CAMP
India claims that the camp, which is 25 kilometers from the de facto border, was Lashkar-e-Taiba ( LeT ), a militant organization that has been linked to the attack last month.
Ajmal Kasab, the only person responsible for the 2008 assault on Mumbai and the only one who was still alive, received training at the center. In the assault on India’s economic hub, over 160 people were killed.
MARKAZ SUBHAN CAMP

India claims that seven people were killed in an attack on an American air base in 2016 that was planned and carried out from this station, a training facility for the militant group Hijbul Mujahideen 12 kilometers away from the border.
GULPUR CAMP
According to India, this camp served as LeT’s bottom 30 kilometers away from the border, adding that nine pilgrimage-related attacks in Kashmir’s Poonch region were carried out by “terrorists” trained there in June, which included nine.
The mastermind behind the 2008 Mumbai attack, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, even made a point of visiting the tent for “indoctrination and inspiring statements.”
SARJAL CAMP
India claims that the tent, which is 6 km inside Pakistan, was trained and launched from the station in March that the culprits of an attack that killed four officers officers in India’s Jammu and Kashmir were.
ABBAS CAMP
This camp, which is located 13 kilometers from the border, was India’s “nerve center” for training Help suicide bombers, according to India.
SYEDNA BELAL CAMP
This camp, which was used as a staging area for JeM, was used to train soldiers and soldiers for “terrorist activities” in American Kashmir, according to India.
SAWAI NALA CAMP
The tent, which is located about 30 kilometers from the de facto border, served as LeT’s main training facility, India claims.
BARNALA CAMP
This center, according to India, was used to teach extremists how to use improvised explosive devices, how to survive in the forest, and how to use them.
