PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong are holding a joint press conference , in Putrajaya on Tuesday ( Jan 7 ) as part of the , 11th Malaysia-Singapore Leaders ‘ Retreat.
Following a formal meeting for Mr. Wong’s acceptance earlier in the morning as well as a conference between ambassadors from both sides, the news conference, which was held at the Perdana Putra Complex, took place.
For the surrender, which is Mr. Anwar’s first since taking office as prime minister in May 2024, Mr. Anwar will host Mr. Wong. It had been , previously scheduled for Dec 8 to 9 last season, but was postponed , after Mr Wong tested positive for COVID-19.
The Singapore Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement on Sunday that the monthly retreat is a system for both officials to set the overall course for bilateral cooperation and to think about new ways to improve communication to bring substantial benefits to Singaporeans and Malaysians.
