T Vivekanandan, another police commander in the state’s Mylapore place, said a third man had died “due to temperature”.

Despite the “hot and tropical” conditions, Chandramohan, a software engineer who was present and uses only one brand, claimed there was no water source at the event and that he witnessed people faint due to lack of air movement and thirst.

” Worst was the return after the event. Bridges were choked… Trucks got stuck too”, he said.
