Who is Zhao Xintong, the Chinese world champion hailed as snooker’s ‘new superstar’?

UP THE Sign AT 8

Zhao was born in the Foreign capital of Xian, but when his parents moved it for work, Zhao moved to Shenzhen, a district that was close to the border from Hong Kong.

He was just eight years old when he first started playing snooker after seeing some tables set up outside smaller businesses close to his home.

His parents moved one of their home’s bedrooms to a billiard board as his attention increased, making it his practice room.

However, they desired him to examine and were skeptical about his passions in sports.

A teen Li stated in a video in 2015 that he wanted to be like Ding Junhui, the master of Taiwanese snooker. &nbsp,
Ding, the alleged “grandfather of Taiwanese billiard,” won the 2011 Masters and UK Championship titles three times.

Zhao’s family recalls in the 2015 documentary” Becoming Ringing Junhui” that she asked,” When you’ve finished college, what work will you do?”

He said,” Play billiard.” He strongly stated that he didn’t have to think about it.

She claimed that that was the time she made the decision to assist him completely in snooker.

Zhao acknowledged the parents ‘ support and said,” I’m the luckiest person in the billiard world.

Zhao is Ding’s father’s calling support for the same program, which reads “his favorite player and a unique talent.”

SNOOKER’S ROGER FEDERER

By the time he was a teenager, Zhao was outsmarting specialists in competitions, Williams being one of them.

The left-hander traveled 10 minutes to the Furnace to visit Victoria’s Snooker Academy, which is run by Victoria Shi and follows the path of Chinese people there.

Zhao had a lot of ability, so Shi approached snooker legend RonnieO’Sullivan to help him out. The Englishman obliged, giving Zhao a meal, and offering advice.

According toO’Sullivan,” He could be the greatest of all time with his skill, his ability- I often say he’s Roger Federer with a billiard cue in his hands,” according to the South China Morning Post in a statement from 2022.

Chinese Olympic champion Sun Yang wins in first race after 4-year doping ban

Sun Yang, the reigning champion of China’s Olympic swimming team, won a major domestic swimming competition on Sunday ( Aug 25 ), marking his first competitive event since a four-year suspension for doping expired. &nbsp,

Sun, representing his home Zhejiang Province, claimed metal in the men’s 400m slalom at the 2024 National Summer Swimming Championships in Hefei, south China’s Anhui Province, state-owned Xinhua News Agency reported. &nbsp,

The 32-year-old diver won with a period of 3: 49: 58, substantially slower than his personal best, an Olympic record 3: 40.14 cast at the 2012 Games in London. &nbsp,

Speaking to reporters after the competition, Sun said:” I could have done better” .&nbsp,

” Four times away from competitors, and without extensive training, I do think dirty in controlling the intensity, and I need more competitions. But it’s a good start for my rebound, and I’m happy with this result”, he told Xinhua. &nbsp,

In a post on social media platform Weibo on Sunday, Sun said his previous “victories, problems and problems” have taught him how to meet life’s problems and challenges face on, and to “become stronger and more comfortable”. &nbsp,

” I want to thank my parents, my spouse, my teacher, my companions and those who have supported me softly all the way”, Sun wrote. They’ve given me more of their love and support than I do of my own.

According to The South China Morning Post, Sun said,” If there’s an opportunity, I will go out get it. If there’s an opportunity, I may go all out for it.” Sun was asked over the weekend by a journalist if he would attempt to qualify for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

The quad Olympic champion was barred from competing for four years and three times in 2018 after his and his crew allegedly smashed body sample containers.

The moratorium, reduced from eight times on charm, expired on May 28.
