Singapore, South Korea launch logo marking 50 years of diplomatic relations

Singapore and South Korea have created a symbol to be used at events to commemorate the 50th anniversary of political relations between the two nations.

The brand, which was unveiled on January 13th, includes symbolic parts and colors derived from the two national colors. According to the Korean Embassy in Singapore, the range 50 is “harmoniously arranged to graphically represent the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two nations.”

A two-month logo design workshop that the two embassies held in Singapore’s Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts ) had collaborated with various other art institutions from both nations.

The winning logo design was chosen as part of a competition that was held for workshop participants, with submissions being reviewed by design experts &nbsp, government representatives from both nations ‘ ministries of foreign affairs and culture, and embassy staff. The winning symbol was designed by K-Arts individuals.

Singapore and South Korea established diplomatic ties on Aug 8, 1975, and have maintained” near participation” in regions including politics, economy and society, said the Korean Embassy. Additionally, it stated that the diplomatic marriage is on record to become a strategic partnership in 2025.
