
Samsung and Samsung Electronics, South Korean tech giant, and SEUL ( Mar 25 ) announced on Tuesday that Han Jong-hee, its co-CEO, has died from cardiac arrest. Han was 63.
Han served as co-CEO of Samsung’s consumer electronics and smart devices section, while Jun Young-hyun, a different co-CEO, manages the chip company of South Korea’s largest company.
Samsung  is aware of Han’s passing as it battles growing opposition from Foreign rivals in both its Television and other consumer electronics firms as well as the announcement of Han’s passing. Samsung has even ceded its device market position to Apple.
A medical director claimed Han died from respiratory arrest while on vacation, adding that a replacement had not yet been decided.
In day trading, Samsung and Electronics stock were unchanged.
Han is one of the bank’s board members and has been appointed vice chair and and CEO of Samsung Electronics in 2022.
