Russian President Putin arrives in Vietnam for state visit

Vietnam, which actually pursues a natural international plan it calls “bamboo geopolitics” in its relations with world powers, has abstained from condemning Russia’s attack on Ukraine, a position that Western countries view as to close to the Kremlin

Russia will be the next country that Putin has visited since taking office for a second time in May, after China and North Korea.

Putin’s first visit since 2017 and his five overall have Vietnam been gearing up for a total state pleasant.

As well as holding talks with Vietnam’s best leaders, Putin did go wreath- laying ceremonies including at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, housing the mummified corpse of Vietnam’s foundational leader.
