Russia’s prime minister said on Wednesday ( Apr 30 ) that the two nations will begin building a road bridge over the Tumen river as part of an effort to strengthen their strategic partnership.
The existing” Friendship Bridge,” a road bridge that was put in place after the Korean War, is near the new construction.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin described the opening of the new bridge as a major development in Russian-North Asian relations, according to the TASS condition news agency.
According to Mishustin,” the significance extends far beyond simply an engineering task.” It “reflects our shared desire to improve inter-regional cooperation and improve helpful, good-neighbourly relations.”
