North Korea’s Kim vows to further solidify Russia ties in letter to Putin

Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, wrote a letter to President Vladimir Putin on Monday, promising to strengthen the country’s complete strategic relationship with Russia.

In the information, Kim expressed his gratitude to Putin and all Russians, including their troops, and expressed his desire to further strengthen diplomatic relations, which he claimed the two leaders have taken to a new level this season, through new projects, according to KCNA.

Kim wished that the Russian army and people do fight neo-Nazism and win a great victory in the New Year 2025, according to KCNA.

At a conference in June, Kim and Putin signed a mutual defense agreement that calls for each area to assist the other in the event of an armed attack.

Since North Korea has since sent tens of thousands of soldiers to Russia to help its conflict with Ukraine, and Seoul and Washington have reported that more than a thousand of them have died or been injured.
