North Korea protests to US over Minuteman III missile test

SEOUL: According to state media KCNA on Friday( Nov 3 ), North Korea vowed to carry out military action while criticizing the United States over a recent intercontinental ballistic missile ( ICBM ) test.

Without mentioning the author’s name, a military commentator for KCNA stated in an article that” The DPRK did as always maintain its military action to boost the deterrence and maintain the proper security in the Korean peninsula and the region.”

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, also known as the North, is referred to as DPRK.

The Minuteman III weapon, which the US Air Force claimed was blown up after an anomaly was discovered, was test-fired on Wednesday at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, according to the report.

According to the nation’s defense government, a delegation from South Korea visited the bottom and watched the ICBM launch for the first time since 2016.

The article also criticized US and South Korean military actions, including the stationing of what it called” US nuclear proper bombers” there.

A US B-52 strategic bomber and fighter jets from the three countries participated in a shared flying exercise with South Korea and the US and Japan last month close to the Korean peninsula.

Last month, the US and South Korea also conducted significant atmosphere workouts involving 130 warplanes from each nation to create 24-hour war operations.

These training, according to Seoul and Washington, are intended to keep the fighting ready to respond to Pyongyang’s threats.
