Starting on Wednesday ( Oct. 9 ), North Korea’s Army will completely shut off all roads and railroads connecting South Korea, and strengthen the regions along the border, according to state media KCNA.
The statement signals a further rise in action close to the borderline, which had previously been uncommon up until this year.
Despite injuries, North Korea had already been installing mines and barriers and creating desert along the strongly militarized borders for months this month, according to South Korea’s military in July.
The Korean People’s Army’s General Staff claimed in a statement released by KCNA that this was a reaction to US tactical nuclear property frequently visiting the area and ongoing conflict tasks that have taken place there.
