Organisers of the Malaysian music festival Good Vibes Festival announced on Monday ( Jul 1 ) that the event was cancelled “out of respect” for the upcoming coronation ceremony of Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, the&nbsp, 17th King of Malaysia, which is set to be held on Jul 20 at&nbsp, Istana Negara.

The cancellation came hours after Malaysia’s Central Agency for Application for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes Committee&nbsp, ( JK- PUSPAL ) issued a statement, asking organisers to reschedule concerts involving foreign artistes on Jul 20.

Citing its rules, &nbsp, JK- PUSPAL&nbsp, said that organisers are prohibited from holding for music on schedules deemed inadequate by the state.

With a line-up including Glimpse Of Us song Joji, North Korean singer-rapper Bibi, and North Vietnamese DJ Peggy Gou, Good Vibes Festival 2024 was scheduled for July 20 and 21 at Resorts World Awana in Genting Highlands.
