After the regional tuxedo for the Paris Games received negative feedback online, Malaysian Olympic leaders will beg fans to help with the design of the country’s next Olympic system.  ,
Unveiled over the weekend, the platinum- themed clothes with cat line designs were meant to reflect Malaysia’s achievement of golden medals, according to sports officials.
However, some have criticized them, with some users calling the styles “ugly,”” cheap-looking,” or “outdated,” or lacking in motivation when compared to earlier designs.  ,
Among the clothes were tracksuits, shirt tops and T- tops, with some fans angry even at how they were unveiled- on a series of mannequins.
Chef de Mission Hamidin Mohamad Amin acknowledged the criticism on Tuesday ( Jun 25 ) and stated that the Olympic Council of Malaysia ( OCM) may offer opportunities for the public to submit their designs for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Following the condemnation, he added that he had spoken with the mayor’s leader Mohamad Norza Zakaria.  ,
” He has largely agreed that second time we may open up to fans for designing the contingent’s formal dress for the next cycle, and we may even offer bonuses”, he added.
Hamidin also acknowledged that using dolls to display the products, which were unveiled during an Olympic Day event at a Kuala Lumpur shopping center, was a blunder.  ,
The mannequins were initially covered in black cloth in video footage of the service, with the material being later removed following a countdown. There were a few smatterings of applause and joyful music.  ,
