
Anwar Ibrahim, the prime minister of Malaysia, said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin had discussed the parliament of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 during a visit to Moscow time after a UN report found Russia to be to blame for the accident.
He told Indonesian press on Wednesday ( May 14), as quoted by local news agency Bernama,” that I took the opportunity to discuss the subject with President Vladimir Putin during our diplomatic conversations.  ,
Anwar was asked to comment on current developments involving the observations made by a UN aircraft government.  ,
This week, according to the International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO ) report, Russia was to blame for the 2014 fighting between pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian forces. MH17 was shot down over eastern Ukraine in 2014.
Moscow has rejected ICAO’s conclusions regarding the accident that resulted in the deaths of all 298 passengers and crew, calling the decision biased.  ,
Late on Wednesday, Anwar promised to keep pushing for transparency in light of the tragedy.
Malaysia “remains strong in ensuring transparency and a just solution for the victims and their families who continue to bear the mass of this tragedy,” he said.
Anwar claimed that during the meeting, Putin condoled the deaths of 196 French nationals, 43 Malay, and 38 Australian nationals or residents.
Anwar demanded a complete and thorough investigation that wasn’t politicized because of Putin.
