Kim Jong Un visits aeronautics factory in Russia’s far east

MOSCOW: Following his conference with President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un paid a visit to an aeronautical stock on Friday( Sept 14) while touring the far east of Russia.

Kim’s bullet-proof train arrived in Komsomolsk-on-Amur two weeks after they met at a spacecraft, sparking rumors that they would reach an arms agreement, according to Russian news organizations.

Kim is in the town, a significant business hub in Russia, to explore an aviation company that makes civil and military equipment.

Kim’s train arrived in the city with the red carpet spread out to welcome him, according to images released by the RIA Novosti media organization.

The Interfax company reported that he was greeted with flowers, music, a dance party, and royal loaves of bread.

Kim, who hardly ever travels, spoke with Putin on Wednesday at the Vostochny cosmodrome.

On Wednesday, Putin declared on television that Kim would” visit factories in Komsomolsk-on-Amur where human and combat air technology is produced.”

Moscow is interested in purchasing North Vietnamese ammunition to use in the fight in Ukraine, an arms deal that may violate international sanctions, according to US officials and researchers, which is why he is traveling to the far south of Russia.

Without providing any additional information, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Thursday that Kim’s visit would continue for a few more times.
