Three officials from Yemen’s globally recognized authorities told Reuters on Friday that at least 15 Yemeni workers of international organizations, including the UN, have been detained by Houthi security forces.
Nine UN employees, three members of the US-funded pro-democracy organization National Democratic Institute ( NDI), and three members of a local human rights organization were among the people being detained in a string of raids on Thursday ( Jun 6), according to the officials.
The Houthi party, which controls the investment Sanaa and a sizable portion of the northwest of the nation, conducted intelligence raids on the homes and offices of these people, seizing phones and computers from the citizens.
