BEIJING: China referred to the agreement as a “peace deal” between Hamas and other Palestinian organizations, including rivals Fatah, in Beijing on Tuesday ( Jul 23 ), announcing that it had agreed to work together to bring “national unity” to power Gaza together once the conflict is over.
According to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who was present with senior Hamas national Musa Abu Marzuk, Fatah minister Mahmud as Aloul, and emissaries from 12 different Arab groups, they had agreed to establish an “interim regional peace government” to regulate post-war Gaza.
We declare that the path to completing this excursion is national unity as we sign a document now. After meeting Wang and the other ambassadors, Abu Marzuk said,” We are committed to federal unity and we call for it.”
