Gunmen storm Mexican resort, kill 7, including child

MEXICO CITY: Authorities claimed that on Saturday, April 15, armed men stormed a beach in the state of Guanajuato in northern Mexico, where drug cartel violence was becoming more and more pervasive.

The aftermath of the assault was captured on video that was widely circulated on social media in a palm-lined hotels in the little town of Cortazar, about 65 kilometers( 40 miles ) south of Guanajuato city.

According to Cortazar’s’s national security department, it was unclear who was responsible for the shooting that claimed the lives of the seven-year-old, three soldiers, and three women. In the La Palma hotels, one girl suffered serious injuries.

However, foe drug cartels have been engaged in bloody territorial conflicts and smuggling routes through the state in recent years.

A short while after the incident, footage of shocked adults and kids walking past piles of dead bodies close to a swimming pool was captured.

” Heavily armed sicarios arrived and this is what happened ,” said an unidentified man who was filming at the resort and using the term for hired assassins.

Reuters was unable to independently confirm the information in the game.

According to a statement from Cortazar’s’s security department,” after the assault,( the attackers ) fled, but not before causing damage to the resort hold and taking the security cameras and display.”
