Eleven swimmers in doping scandal named in China Olympic team

China announced its swimming squad for Paris on Tuesday ( Jun 18 ). 11 of the 23 who tested positive for the banned TMZ were named in April media reviews.

Zhang Yufei, a caterpillar expert and two-time silver medalist, is one of the 11 members. Wang Shun also has two gold medals, according to the group.

WADA’s determination not to condemn the rowers has provoked extreme criticism, particularly from the United States.

The mind of the US’s regional anti-doping firm, Travis Tygart, has described the situation as a “potential cover-up,” which both WADA and China have refuted.

China has pledged to cooperate with WADA’s compliance inspection team to “assess the present state of the country’s anti-doping program.”
