Commonwealth Games cycling velodrome cleared after spectacular crash into crowd

Team England’s Matt Walls and Department of Man’s Shiny Bostock were mixed up in crash along with several other riders.

Walls has been catapulted over the barriers and into the group at the Lee Area VeloPark, the 24-year-old receiving treatment for further than 40 mins before leaving within an ambulance.
“Following a crash within the cycling men’s scrape race, Matt Wall space has been taken to hospital for precautionary checks, ” Team England said on Twitter.

Spectators were also hurt after Wall space and his bike came over the top of the obstacles on the high banking at a corner from the track.
Walls has been trying to avoid riders who had fallen in a crash reduce the banking, but he clipped an additional wheel and proceeded to go over the top.
