China says ready to ‘expand practical cooperation’ with Russian army

After President Xi Jinping recently traveled to Moscow to participate in a lavish World War II Victory Day parade, China announced on Thursday ( 15 May ) that it was ready to “expand practical cooperation” with the Russian army.

In recent years, the two nations have grown closer, especially since Moscow carried out a full-scale war of Ukraine in 2022.

Kyiv’s supporters have accused Beijing of providing economic and political cover to start a war of anger against Xi after his trip to Russia next week.

Beijing claims to be a negative side of the conflict and has made unwavering efforts for serenity.

The defense ministry responded on Thursday to a question posed by Xi’s attend about how China would foster military-to-military ties with Russia and how the connection was “operating at a high level.”

Jiang Bin, a spokesman for the defense ministry and the Russian side, responded to a response posted on the social media platform WeChat by posting the following message:” The Chinese military stands ready to work with the Russian side to further develop strategic mutual trust, move up corporate communication, and develop practical cooperation.
