Bomb hoax threats to Indian airlines spark chaos

An anonymous accounts on X, previously Online, was suspended after posting bomb threats to at least 40 planes on Friday and Saturday, according to a record in the Indian Express.

This included planes operated by both Indian and international carriers, some of which were American and some of those were New Zealand.

” There are explosives placed ashore… No one will make out alive. Hurry up and leave the plane”, read the equivalent communications from the suspended accounts, the newspapers reported.

An Air India trip from Mumbai to New York recently experienced a problem, with US security personnel clearing the aircraft after its safe takeoff on Saturday.

An Air India planes from New Delhi to Chicago, which was forced to make an emergency landing in the far-northern American city of Iqaluit on Tuesday, is one of the other planes that were impacted.

Canada’s air army had to travel the people on.

Singapore scrambled fighter planes to accompany an Air India Express aircraft the same day.

On Thursday, British Royal Air Force fighter planes escorted an Air India Boeing 777-300 after a threat was made against the aircraft, which landed safely in London.

A Vistara trip from New Delhi to London had to make a Friday change to Frankfurt in Germany.
