Biden calls India an ‘indispensable partner’ on 75th anniversary of independence

WASHINGTON: ALL OF US President Joe Biden on Sunday congratulated India on seventy five years of independence and said the United States and India were “indispensable partners” that would always work together to address worldwide challenges in the many years ahead.

India will mark its 75th calendar year of independence on Monday (Aug 15), celebrating the end associated with British colonial guideline in 1947.

“The United States ties the people of Indian to honor the democratic journey, guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s enduring message of truth and non-violence, ” Biden said in a statement, referring to the leader of India’s independence movement.

“India and the Usa are indispensable companions, and the U. H. -India Strategic Partnership is grounded in our shared commitment towards the rule of legislation and the promotion of human freedom plus dignity, ” Biden said.

Biden also said his country’s Indian-American neighborhood had made the United States a more innovative, comprehensive, and stronger nation.
