Feeling angry? Writing down and throwing away those thoughts can calm you down, Japan study reveals

Writing down your thoughts may ease anger&nbsp, but the notes may be thrown aside afterwards.

A study in Japan purposefully irritated volunteers by requiring them to create negative comments about interpersonal issues, but those who were instructed to put their writings in the trash appeared to have a quick calming effect as their rage levels, on a level of one to six, immediately dropped to where they were before the experiment.

On the other hand, those who kept their notes remained enraged.

Nobuyuki Kawai, head author of the study at Nagoya University, said:” We expected that our technique had control anger. Nonetheless, we were amazed that fury was eliminated nearly completely”.

The study just featured 50 members but Kawai is convinced that the method&nbsp, inspired by the Chinese tradition known as hakidashisara&nbsp, may help people who find themselves in difficult conditions at work.

He added that” this method could be used in the present by writing down the origin of anger, as if you were to take a memo and then throw it away.”

CNA Explains: Are China’s EVs here to stay despite slow start to 2024?

What’s behind the fall of China’s Vehicles?

The growth is essentially driven by the Chinese president’s large friendly plans, wrote Li in her criticism.

According to S&amp, P Global, China’s government began subsidising what they refer to as new- energy vehicles ( NEVs ) in 2009. Finally, in 2012, it released its first business development plan that included goals like creation, possession, and vehicle mileage. &nbsp,

Among more than 5, 000 island Chinese listed firms, five of the top 10 beneficiaries of federal grants during the first quarter of 2023 were nearby Vehicle or power companies, a Nikkei review noted.

According to Bloomberg, nearly all Vehicles sold in China are even free from the car purchase tax. &nbsp,

The value of China’s Vehicles plays a large part.

Their common retail price has decreased over the past few years to just over US$ 34, 000 as of 2022. This is 33 % less than the typical cost of a car.

” China’s focus has been to ensure that EVs were accessible for the masses, and it has done so to great success, developing its low- entry segments, and allowing demand to shift as smoothly as possible from ( internal combustion engines ) to EVs” ,&nbsp, said David Krajicek, CEO of research firm JATO Dynamics. &nbsp,

China’s hegemony of the power supply chain is one factor behind its lower prices for EVs.

Foreign companies accounted for 60 % of the global market for EV batteries in 2022. China&nbsp, furthermore controls the production of power materials like copper, cobalt and lithium.

All of which gives its carmakers an edge in terms of EV manufacturing prices, said Moody’s researchers in a July 2023 statement.

Commentary: The curious case of PAS’ stance against KK Super Mart boycott amid socks uproar

NO DIRECT Network

But, the most likely explanation is closer to what Mr Yahaya implied. He said that the KK Super Mart boycott is qualitatively different from the boycott of Israeli goods, as the latter is “directly related” to Gaza, whereas in KK Super Mart’s case, there was” no direct relationship”.

Mr. Yahaya meant that the ban itself was not a spiritual protest, even though the KK Super Mart discussion began with the prophet’s name. In other words, the boycott may be interpreted differently as professional, racist, political or social, but it might not be spiritual.

If we take that view, it makes sense that PAS taken a step up. Despite frequently combining identity politics and Islam, PAS finally seeks to establish an Islamic status as the preferred social outcome.

Its strongest policy advocacy in the past few years, such as questioning Malaysia’s decision to gazette bak kut teh ( pork ribs soup ) as a national heritage dish, closing down gambling outlets, enhancing Syariah court powers and others, are driven by religious considerations. So, if the KK Super Mart boycott is no dramatically religious in goal and outcome, it might not follow it.

For restraint, though self- serving, has significant implications on how conflicts may sing out in the future.

After the uncommon trio of diesel bomb attacks in Malaysia, it’s fair to wonder if these are one-time events or have a potential recurrence.

The confinement of expanded conflict seems small and efficient enough for now based on the highest authorities ‘ majority condemnation of violence. This does not, however, mean that the surveillance of brands and logos that might offend the majority of people may be completely absent.

One less artist to intensify issue might be the difference between maintaining the peace and going ashore, according to PAS ‘ nuanced perspective on what issues to take on.

Sang Kancil ( Penguin Random House ) is the author and social scientist James Chai writes.

Commentary: Once enemies, Japan and US strengthen their alliance

Does AUKUS ALLIANCE BECOME JAUKUS?

Thursday’s first intergovernmental conference between the US, Japan and the Philippines adds to the pattern of overlapping minilateralism. Following Kishida’s visit last month, a conference between the US, Japan, and South Korea was held at Camp David.

A joint naval exercise involving US, Japanese, Australian, and Philippine warships was conducted in the South China Sea also before his recent US visit.

An agreement to keep security and freedom of navigation in the South China Sea is expected to be reached at the multilateral conference with Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. China’s territorial statements to the sea area will also be challenged as a result of these international maritime maneuvers.

The Philippines and Japan will even begin political negotiations for a mutual access deal. This will allow Chinese forces to be stationed at Spanish military installations.

American Prime Minister Anthony Albanese played down the aspirations of “JAUKUS” as Kishida began his journey. He claimed that merely on a “project by job” basis is it probable that Japan would participate in Pillar II. Japan’s formal accession to the AUKUS defense empire was not envisaged.

Kishida added at Wednesday’s press event that “nothing has been decided” regarding Japan’s strong co- activity with AUKUS. Nevertheless, he reiterated that the US foreign policy creation has encouraged Japan to contribute to Pillar Two, especially in underwater war, hypersonic missile growth, and classical and computer systems.
