China to impose 84% tariffs on US goods from Apr 10, up from 34%

Beijing: Starting on April 10th, China will start imposing 84 percent tariffs on US goods, an increase from the recently announced 34 percent, according to the financing ministry’s announcement on Wednesday.

China even told the World Trade Organization on Wednesday that Beijing’s decision to impose what it has called mutual taxes threatens to further destabilize international trade.

China expresses” serious issue and steady criticism to this foolish move” as one of the affected members, according to a statement from the Chinese mission to the WTO sent to Reuters.

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump imposed large 104 per share tariffs on Chinese goods, including “reciprocal” tariffs on dozens of nations.

China claimed that the mutual tariffs were in violation of the organization’s regulations and that they undermined the international trading system at a WTO meeting.

A remedy for business disparities is not and never will be a reverse. Instead, they may fail, causing harm to the US, according to China’s assertion to the WTO.
