Japan PM vows to support businesses hit by US tariffs

Ishiba was tight-lipped Tuesday about imposing retaliatory tariffs on US imports but said he will explain “details on flexible methods” with his decision partnership.

For now, away from opening the 1, 000 discussion boards, he said” we will do everything we is” to help smaller and mid-sized companies procure money after the US taxes are activated.

” Japan is the biggest investment for the United States. With this in mind, we may continue to clearly call for Japan’s exemption”, he told a news conference.

” If it’s deemed necessary for me to pay a visit to the ( United States ) myself, then I won’t hesitate to do so”.

On Friday, the prime minister said Trump’s opinions on taxes were “difficult to know” after the 25 cent duties on cars and pieces were announced.

” What President Trump is saying is that there are both friends and foes and friends can be more challenging. This is very hard to understand”, Ishiba said during a parliamentary commission program.
