In the event of a crisis in Taiwan, the US is making disaster programs for military operations in Japan and the Philippines, according to Japan’s Kyodo information agency.
According to sources with knowledge of Japan-US relations, they will be incorporated into a second shared operation plan that will be created in December.
According to Kyodo, a US Marine unit with the multiple-launch HIMARS ( High Mobility Artillery Rocket System ) will be stationed along the Nansei area network in Japan, which extends from Kyushu to Yonaguni near Taiwan.
According to the report, temporary bases will be established on occupied islands if a Taiwan emergency occurs soon, following US military instructions for sending soldiers in little formations to various locations.
Japan’s government is expected to largely engage in administrative assistance for the sea system, including supplying fuel and ammunition, it said.
Kyodo added that the US Army did build Multi-Domain Task Force long-range fire products in the Philippines.
