On Monday ( Nov. 4), South Korea and the European Union jointly condemned North Korea’s supply of weapons to Moscow and demanded that it stop sending troops as Russia fights against Ukraine.
Soon after Washington and Seoul raised the alarm about North Korea sending soldiers to help Russia, the EU and South Korea held their first” Strategic Dialogue” gathering in Seoul.
Josep Borrell, the head of the EU’s foreign policy, and Cho Tae-yul, the country’s foreign secretary, jointly condemned the North’s “unlawful hands transfers to the Russian Federation for its use in attacking Ukraine.”
They demanded an ending to the “unlawful military participation” and a departure of the North Korean troops.
Additionally, Borrell had a meeting with Kim Yong-hyun, the head of South Korea’s defense ministry.
In a blog on X that included a picture of him shaking hands with Kim, Borrell claimed that” Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is an existential danger.” The Republic of Korea is at its best understood for this. We are all united in our aid for Ukraine. I urged them to” step it up”
Additionally, the two nations signed a security and defense agreement that covers 15 topics, including peace and cyber security.
