Seoul authorities find toxic substances in Shein and Temu products

Formaldehyde, a substance generally used in home building materials, was detected in Shein’s hats at double the acceptable level.

Two bottles of Shein nail polish contained dioxane, a potential human cancer that could lead to heart poison, at levels higher than 3.6 times the permitted restrict and methanol levels that were 1.4 times above the recommended level.
