China-US cooperation ‘no longer an option’, but ‘an imperative’: Wang Yi

The two powers held competing martial training in the South China Sea this past week as run-ins over disputed territory grew more intense there.

According to Wang&nbsp, China wants the US to change its mind and honor its creation journey, including defending its territorial integrity and national sovereignty, “in an approach of equality and inclusiveness.”

On the basis of mutual respect, he said,” We are willing to commit ourselves to building a stable, healthy, and sustainable China-US relationship.”

Wang&nbsp also asserted that China’s growth and revitalization have a” strong intrinsic momentum,” which he interpreted to mean that the country will take on more responsibility for world peace and development.

He continued,” We have no intention of supplanting or dominating anyone, nor do we intend to seek hegemony.”

Concern over a growing position between China and Russia has been expressed frequently by the US and its allies.

Recently, China’s top minister visited the United States as both nations worked to resolve their differences and prevent issue.

Wang&nbsp stated that despite the fact that both countries came from different backgrounds, their differences should not result in conflict and that the “big stick of sanctions” should n’t be used at all times to exercise power or hegemony.

According to Wang&nbsp,” We must rely on peaceful coexistence, and the most crucial factor is to successfully maintain differences.”

As the year gets underway, observers worry that new turmoil will shake the marriage.

My colleagues in the US Embassy and in our four consulates public look forward to working with our counterparts to continue to properly manage our international marriage, said US Deputy Chief of Mission David Meale, who attended the event with &nbsp Wang. &nbsp,
