South Korea’s Yoon to attend APEC summit, visit Europe

Yoon Suk-yeol, the president of South Korea, will attend the APEC summit in San Francisco from November 15 to November 18, according to his office on Wednesday ( Nov 8 ).

As part of efforts to increase support for hosting the 2030 World Expo, Yoon is scheduled to visit France from Nov 23 to Nov 26 and pay a state visit to Britain from November 20 to November 23 following an offer from King Charles, according to deputy national security adviser Kim Tae-hyo.

The International Bureau of Exhibitions, the organization that organizes the exhibition, is expected to vote this month on the host nation for the 2030 exposition. Its main office is in Paris.

Yoon will also travel to the Netherlands from December 12 to December 13 at King Willem-Alex ‘ offer, according to local media. This will be the president of South Korea’s first state visit since the two nations established diplomatic relations in 1961.
