The Transformative Justice Collective ( TJC)’s owners will be prohibited from receiving financial or other significant benefits from its website, website, and social media pages starting on December 21.
This is one of the restrictions that come with being designated as Declared Online Locations ( DOLs ) under the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act ( POFMA ).
The restrictions are due to the “multiple falsehoods” communicated on the online platforms operated by the anti-death penalty activist group- namely its , website, as well as its Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X pages- the Ministry of Digital Development and Information ( MDDI) said on Friday ( Dec 20 ).  ,
The DOLs may remain in place until December 20th, 2026.
If a website or website that is online has three or more different misleading statements of fact that are the issue of active POFMA instructions, it is designated as a DOL.
In contrast, at least three of these misleading statements of fact must have been communicated on each website area in , the six-month time prior to the DOL charter.
According to MDDI, TJC received five POFMA requests from August through December for false information about the Singapore government’s approach to prisoners awaiting the death penalty and related issues.
According to the ministry, each of TJC’s above website platforms has fulfilled POFMA’s requirements to be designated as a DOL.
