Young women arrested, 1m meth pills in their car

Two young women had been arrested when one particular million methamphetamine pills were found in luggage in their car after they were pulled over to get a search in Wiang Chiang Rung area, Chiang Rai, upon Monday evening.

Soldiers purchased to  keep a look out for the car, the Mazda CX-5  along with Chiang Rai licence plates, spotted it  travelling on the road from Muang district in order to Wiang Chiang Step district around five. 30pm on Monday.

They will first followed, after that shorty after intercepted the car at Thung Kor village within Wiang Chiang Rung district.

Two young women had been inside the car. A search revealed six bags in the car included one million acceleration pills, Lt Gen Boonyuen Inkwang, commander of the North Region Drug Suppression Procedures Centre, said upon Tuesday.  

The driver has been identified as Saowalak Kommalasbucha,   25, of Chiang Saen area in Chiang Rai province. The name of the some other woman was not released, according to Thai media.

Their arrest came following the drug suppression operations centre received info that a quantity of medicines would be smuggled from your border though Chiang Rai.  

Lt Gen Boonyuen said gangs smuggling drugs from Myanmar currently preferred bringing them in through Fang region of Chiang Mai and Mae Fa Luang district in Chiang Rai.
