The Woodlands Health Campus combines an acute hospital, a community hospital, a nursing home, and Mr. Lee’s claim that it” consolidates a comprehensive set of companies in a single place”
” The campus will not only provide the usual services ( management of acute situations, treatment, and recovery ), but it will also provide long-term treatment providers– including day care, home care, nursing treatment and preventative care”, he said.  ,
This makes it much simpler for individuals to visit right-site, and it’s also much easier for them to completely transition from treatment to recovery and to receive the appropriate treatment in one location.
Some Woodlands Health locations use technology to improve operational performance and provide a better individual experience and caregiver experience.  ,
These include using individual bedside terminals, an automatic pharmacy that shortens the amount of time patients have to wait for their medications, and more recently, patient bedside terminals.
Mr. Lee cited the traditional method of nurse communication with patients in people, giving them updates on things like their health situation and test results.
Individuals have limited opportunities to participate actively in their own treatment plan and be informed about the progress of their recovery, he added.
” With the ( patient bedside ) terminals, patients can access the care plan for their stay themselves, their vital signs charts, and educational resources relevant to their condition… and participate more actively in their recovery journey” . ,
Mr. Lee even touched on how patients can get their desired meals as well as watch YouTube videos using the terminals, and how the clinic had begun to provide healthcare in the community through its WH@Home initiative.
It was first introduced in April 2022, and it now offers care to patients at home rather than in a medical setting.  ,
The Senior Minister made a joke about how frequently people assume that doctor food is bland and flavorless.
However, he quipped that this is “certainly not your normal medical fare” after sampling a few meals from the in-patient restaurant, such as , meat vindaloo, and that other “interesting choices” like Thai green cake and British pork stew had caught his eye.
