
Two spasms were detected in the northeastern province of Nan early Thursday morning after Wednesday’s collapse caused holes in the southern state of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The Earthquake Observation Division of the Meteorological Department reported two tsunamis measuring 1.7 and 1.5 on the Richter level in Nan at 4.04am and 4.52am both. The spasms were detected one kilometre underwater in tambon Yap Hua Na of Wiang Sa city.
The spasms happened a day after a 3.0-magnitude disaster in tambon Saira of Chawang city in the southern state of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The Wednesday’s collapse was detected, even one kilometre underwater, at 5.31am Wednesday. People felt it in Chawang and Phipun towns, the Earthquake Observation Division said.
Chawang Crown Prince Hospital in Chawang city was evacuated after the collapse. Public works authorities after found cracks at the health service but concluded that the construction of the doctor remained healthy.
Authorities also found damaged water reservoirs at various locations while Kathun and Klong Din Daeng reservoirs in Phipun city were alive.
