
More than 2.75 million eligible voters voted in Singapore’s general election ( GE2025 ) on Saturday at 8am as polling stations across Singapore opened.
There are 1, 240 voting stations across the country that will close at 8 p.m.

The Elections Department ( ELD ) advised voters to think about going to the polls in the afternoon to avoid the morning’s long lines.
10 foreign polling stations are open daily from 8am to 8pm in their respective cities, in addition to the private voting.
Not later than Singapore’s standard closing time is required for these stations to close.
The poll locations are in Shanghai, Dubai, London, Washington, DC, New York, San Francisco, Canberra, Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Washington, DC.
18, 389 Singaporeans had registered as citizens abroad, of which 8, 630 will cast their ballots in person at international offices, and 9, 759 will deliver their ballots via article.
After the People’s Action Party ( PAP ) won five seats unopposed on nomination day, voters now have a choice between 11 political parties and two independent candidates to contest the remaining 92 parliamentary seats in 32 constituencies.
The Workers ‘ Party ( WP ) has the most candidates in all of its constituencies, while PAP fielded candidates in all of them, with 26.
The PAP, WP, People’s Power Party ( PPP ), National Solidarity Party ( NSP), and five other constituencies compete in a four-way fight known as Tampines GRC, which features the most intense fight. — Bernama
