Service and conservancy charges for hawker centres, markets to be raised from January

SINGAPORE: After a review, the service and conservancy fees( S & amp, CC ) and nbsp ) for the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment’s 27 markets and retail locations( MHCs ) will increase starting in 2019.

According to the National Environment Agency( NEA ) in a press release on Saturday( Jun 3 ), the increases will be implemented in two stages, starting in January 2024 and ending in July.

Four trade types at MSE-owned markets and hawker centers — cooked food, piece and sundry, market produce I, and Market produce II — are affected by the revisions.

Cooked food vendors at MHCs currently charge S$ 140($ 103 ) per month in addition to S & amp, CC. The fees may start at S$ 155 in January and go up to S$ 175 in July.

Currently, MHCs pay S$ 79 per month in addition to S & amp, CC, and various stalls. The fees may go up to S$ 87 starting in January and will stay at that price through July.

Market produce I stalls at MHCs andnbsp currently pay S$ 67 per month in addition to S & amp and CC. The fees may go up to S$ 73 beginning in January and S$ 82 starting in July.

Market produce II stalls at MHCs currently pay S$ 42 andnbsp, S & amp, and CC per month. The fees may start at S$ 46 in January and go up to S$ 52 in July.
