Palace pays tribute to late queen

A portrait of Her Late Majesty Princess or queen Elizabeth II has been placed at the Grand Palace in Bangkok so people can pay their respects and express their condolences on His Majesty the King’s instruction.

The portrait of the late Uk monarch, whose funeral service was held on Monday  in London about 10 days after her moving on Sept 8, will be placed at the Manee Nopparat Gate of the Grand Palace until Sept 25, according to the Royal Household Bureau.

This is to allow the public and state agencies to join in remembering the late queen and as a tribute to the close relations between two royal family members and kingdoms.

The past due Queen Elizabeth II visited Thailand two times in 1972 being a guest of Their Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great.

The queen visited again in 1996 with her consort the late Prince Philip, Fight it out of Edinburgh, in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary or the Golden Jubilee of California king Bhumibol from Oct 28 to November 1 .
