Lion City Sailors forward Khairin Nadim seals move to Portuguese side FC Vizela

The Sailors praised FC Vizela for showing a strong commitment to children growth, with 16 of its under-23 players having played for the first team in the last four years.

Khairin must make the most of the following 18 months to demonstrate he is ready for the next stage of his growth, according to professional director of Lion City Sailors, Luka Lalic.

” Given Vizela’s team structure, the people working closely with him, and Khairin’s personal attitude and desire to succeed, I believe – with a bit of luck – he can do very well and produce both venues proud”.

Toni Dovale, the club’s sporting director, stated:” We’ve been investing a lot in our youth development system in the past few years, and signing major foreign talents is a part of our move ahead as a membership.

I’ve heard a lot of positive things about Khairin Nadim because I’ve played in Asia, so I was interested to learn more about him.

We’re excited to see how far his potential can take him, and that proved to be the scenario in his studies with us.

Khairin may make his debut for his innovative team’s under-23 staff on Feb 25 when it takes on Benfica B in the Liga Revelacao.

He continued,” I’m thankful to the Seamen for giving me this incredible opportunity as well as shaping me into the person I am today.

Playing in Europe has always been my desire, and I’m happy to be able to accomplish it. &nbsp,

” I’m not just representing the Seamen, but even Singapore as a younger person around. I’ll teach hard, show myself, and present that I belong on the great level”.

Khairin is not the first Malaysian to join the Brazilian national team. Last month, another Sailor, playmaker Nur Muhammad Asis, went on payment to top-flight team CF Estrela de Amadora.
