Cops seize meth bound for NZ, Aust

Police seized meth packages bound to get Australia and Brand new Zealand, says Pol Lt Gen Sarayuth Sanguanpokai, commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB).

The NSB raided a resort within the northeastern province associated with Nong Khai and arrested three Thai nationals: Wiboon Kenkam, 21, Weerachit Sintorn, 20, and Anuchit Masantia, 22. Saengduen Joommanee, from Laos, was also nabbed.

They were captured at the Love Holiday resort in tambon Pako, Nong Khai, stated Pol Lt Style Sarayuth.

Police seized thirty-two packages of crystal methamphetamine and fourteen mobile phones. The drug was packaged within 500-gramme hair product bottles, weighing thirty-two kilogrammes in total.

Earlier, heroin packages were seized on Aug 30 and Sept 3 at the DHL office in Chiang Mai, which prompted a study to trace the medication network.

Police found fourteen kilogrammes of heroin hidden in brightening cream boxes plus heroin packaged within hair product containers in Chiang Mai weighing 14kg. Each were to be delivered to Australia. Mister Wiboon sent all of the heroin packages, law enforcement said.

Officers raised his hideout in Nong Khai on Wednesday. The other three potential foods were with him. All pleaded guilty to possessing medications.

Mr Wiboon and his accomplices were involved in the drug network based in a neighbouring country which hired these to mail drugs to Australia and Brand new Zealand.
