BEIJING: China’s Leader Xi Jinping indicated his condolences upon Saturday (Jul 9) over the death of former Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe , whom Xi stated had worked hard to improve relations between the neighbours, Chinese state media reported.
Japan’s greatest serving modern leader was shot on Friday within the Japanese city of Nara while making a campaign presentation to get a parliamentary election. The 41-year-old Japanese male believe continues to be arrested.
“I deeply regret his sudden death, ” state media cited Xi as stating on behalf of the Chinese language government and people in a message to Western Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
“I once reached important consensus with your pet on building China-Japan relations. ”
Xi also prolonged his condolences in order to Abe’s family, condition television reported.
Ties between The japanese and China are already plagued for years with a territorial dispute over a group of East Cina Sea islets as well as the legacy of Japan’s past military aggression.
