477 new Covid inpatients, 12 more deaths

The country registered 477 new inpatients admitted to hospitals and 12 more Covid-19 related fatalities, the Ministry of Community Health reported on Sunday.

This compared with 764 patients and fourteen deaths reported upon Saturday.

All new infections documented on Sunday had been local cases.

The 24-hour period saw one, 170 patients discharged from hospitals after recovering.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 4, 673, 387 Covid-19 cases, which includes 2, 449, 952 cases this year, along with 4, 631m535 complete recoveries to date.

The gathered death toll was at 32, 629 since the beginning of the outbreak, including 10, 931 so far this year.

The highest variety of Covid-related fatalities in a 24-hour period had been 312 recorded upon Aug 13, 2021. The highest number of cases was 28, 379 on April 1, 2022.
